Injured, the yoga teacher asked her to continue practicing, right?

Amos Lee

I don’t know how everyone started yoga. Xiaobian once made a survey of yoga practitioners on the Internet when he worked in his last company. 78.5% of them had the idea of practicing yoga because they watched various media platforms or advertisements to show their yoga postures. That is to say, if yoga is a girl, most people are attracted by her beauty.

We don’t know how many people will understand the essence of “girl” in the later stage, but 78.5% of them will experience a long journey of “conquering”.

Once there is the awareness of asana, yoga injury will happen naturally.

Injured, or injured, in the end should continue to practice?

Under normal circumstances, we hear the doctor’s advice after the injury is generally: practice what practice, go back to rest!

As a yoga teacher, we usually give our members the same advice: take a rest at this time!

Of course, rest is the safest way. The reasons for standing “rest” are often as follows:

1. Rest will not cause secondary damage

2. Rest can reduce the maximum consumption of the body to help it send more nutrients to the injured area to help it recover

But is it completely right to just keep quiet? Not necessarily.

After the injured limb is fixed for a long time, it is easy to produce joint rigidity, unable to flex or stretch normally; without exercise for a long time, the muscles of the limb will be severely atrophied; the most terrible thing is that when one side of the injured limb is injured, the body will instinctively protect the injured part from being oppressed to produce pain, so we will put all the force points and pressure points on the other side without injury As long as one side compensates, your muscles compensate for the rest time.

One of the characteristics of fascia is its plasticity. After a long period of compensatory exertion, you may not be happy when you have recovered the injury, because your whole body has a serious imbalance. When you look strong, you actually suffer from severe strain, while you are thin, rigid and lack of elasticity.

So do we have a better way to recover faster and better? The answer is obviously yes!

There is a Thai fan who has broken two tendons during Thai Boxing practice. After receiving emergency treatment from a doctor, he was informed to go home and rest. Shortly after returning home, there was a lot of water on her knee, which was swollen to the same thickness as her thigh. Helpless, she listened to her friend’s introduction and found my teacher Doris for help.

After assessing her condition, the teacher understood that it was the inflammation of the wound that caused the accumulation of water. We have to mention our great fascia here. Through “too hard body or bottleneck practice?”? Knowing the muscle and fascia can help you survive! (including dry goods) we know that the fascia has the function of storing water. When our body is injured, the fascia network all over the body can quickly receive the information of the injured part, and store and separate the inflammatory water accumulated in the injured part to prevent it from spreading to other parts. The appearance of the body is the large area of water accumulated in the injured part.

When we talked about the principle of fascial release, we mentioned that when the fascia is pressed, the moisture in the fascia can be quickly discharged, and then it can be filled with fresh water again to maintain the elasticity of the fascia. My teacher fixed the injured knee of this friend on the 4D Pro slingshot, and asked him to start the thigh strength to do a series of movements such as inner rotation and outer rotation of the thigh. After 15 minutes, the water disappeared by more than half.

The students in the room were all amazed at the fact that they had seen each other, but after listening to the teacher’s explanation, they understood that the principle behind it was not so complicated.

Fascia is a network of connective tissue all over the body. Its movement is an indispensable condition to keep the normal movement of the body. When some parts are injured, we can fix the injured parts to ensure that they will not be hurt twice in the subsequent behavior. After that, the water flow and metabolism in the fascia network is promoted by releasing the fascia in the related area of the injured part, and the inflammatory wastewater is discharged into the metabolism mechanism to replace with fresh and clean water. In such a cycle, it will not be long before the wounded will live. So, once again confirmed a truth – fascia is really good!

After watching it, I feel like I’ve opened the door to the new world, and I’m still a “hero” when I get hurt!

But little yo here must remind you that the injured sports need strong professional knowledge for guidance, but don’t make a fool of yourself. After all, the body is the temple of the soul. If it is broken, the soul will be nowhere to be placed.

Tips: take the injury response guide and escort us!

01

Observe and sense the injured part to determine whether it is a bone injury. First, perform small activities to see if the behavior is limited. If even simple shaking and support are problems, it can be determined that it is a bone or tendon problem. There is no other choice to go to the doctor as soon as possible. If the diagnosis is bone and tendon injury, it needs to go through the acute stage of injury. In the acute stage, there will be pain, redness, fever, swelling, weakness, fatigue and weakness in the injured part, obviously feeling the instability and uncontrollability of the injured part. During this period, doctors will generally carry out price treatment, that is, P refers to the protection of the injured limb, R refers to rest, I refers to ice application, C refers to the compression bandage of the injured limb through elastic bandages or pressure clothing, and e refers to the elevation of the affected limb. I don’t need to think about it in the first three days. Have a good rest!

02

If there is no abnormality in normal action, but a specific action will hurt, and it can be judged that it is a muscle strain, the following steps can be followed for rehabilitation, while the patients with skeletal tendon injury can enter the chronic period according to the doctor’s assessment, or follow the following recommendations for rehabilitation.

1. Fix the injured part to avoid the movement with large impact and vibration. For example: avoid standing, squatting, jumping and other actions after knee joint injury.

2. The intensity of exercise should not increase suddenly. If you have just entered the chronic period, you have completed 2 hours of training with steel like will, and your body will not be able to bear it. You must remember to step by step to give the body a process of adaptation.

3. Strengthen the related muscle training of the injured area. If the injured is the waist, strengthen the training of leg muscle group and core muscle group; if the injured is the knee, focus on the training of knee peripheral muscle group, such as the hamstring muscle, quadriceps femoris and adductor thigh muscle group, keep the activity of peripheral muscle group, the stronger the ability of peripheral fascia to produce water and elasticity, so as to drive the injured part to recover quickly. So, to sum up, life lies in movement! Even if you are injured, you still need to move. If you don’t understand fascia or anatomy, find a professional teacher to help you!

Understanding the relationship between muscles and the function of each muscle can help you to make an accurate rehabilitation plan. Without the help of these theoretical knowledge, it will be counterproductive!
